Motivation Monday: May 22, 2017.
Motivation Monday with Jean-Désir will be my stories from my journey or stories from other lifestyle connoisseurs that interest me and this Motivation Monday: May 22, 2017 we have one from me. Monday is the best day of the week for me because I have to make something out of the day even if there is some type of opposition ahead of me. The main reason for this great feeling towards it is that my mastermind group has given me the ability to learn that I have to be more aware of exactly what my business and life needs to reach the next level (millions of course). When I told myself in 2015 that I would commit to being an entrepreneur; the journey has been eye opening for myself, friends and family. I am now challenging myself to stop taking the moments in my life for granted. The WHY as to what made me want to be a successful entrepreneur is simple.

Immigrant Mom and Dad
I always saw and continue to see my mom and dad work for other corporations and never really have the chance to experience life to the fullest. Yea, they took some vacations when they could but raising 5 kids isn’t a small task (I was bad as hell). No, I didn’t grow up poor but grew up as an immigrant first generation Haitian-American. That means, I experienced two levels of challenges; one for being an American and proving I could perform in school like others and two, the social obstacles faced with my peers who probably never understood why I never hung out after-school with them (another story for another time, lol).
THIS IS NOT A GAME, THIS IS MY LIFE!
I’m really out here at times, missing car payments, missing certain bills but also hustling my ass off to increase my businesses cash-flow to make car, mortgage and bill payments as an entrepreneur. THIS IS NOT A GAME, THIS IS MY LIFE! I want to ensure that those who are having some struggles as entrepreneurs or wantrepreneurs at their current jobs to realize that the stories around them may not be front page news or trending topics on Instagram. However, WE are picking ourselves up from our bootstraps and making it happen every day because this is a lifestyle to be an entrepreneur and at times it can bring lots of privilege if used correctly.
