Networking Event Spotlight – SEMPO Cities: South Florida: Digital Marketing Titans Meet was a great learning experience for internet marketing professionals in attendance. Hosted at the quiet but beautiful Lynn University campus which surprisingly has more of a Northeast feel then a South Florida university.

The event featured 3 panel topics which included:

• State of Search:  The panel discussed the “state of search marketing”.
• Digital Marketing Trends: The panel discussed topics surrounding marketing automation, artificial intelligence, AR/VR &, millennial generation.
• Strategies That Work: The panel will discussed the trends to follow in 2016-2017.

Kate Volman of KV Media

Kate Volman of KV Media spoke on YouTube videos and having an audience as a business owner. She mentioned on how a popular YouTuber she looked up to started with simple videos into more dynamic and engaged audience. Furthermore in regards to the content I am producing, she said just put it out there.

As a digital marketer, guess I can say this now that I’ve had the opportunity to attend a number of events from Miami to New York regarding this field. Due to end-users moving away from just desktop to now VR (virtual reality) and AR (augmented reality) leaders in search are scrambling to adjust to the new digital paradigm. This in my view will open more opportunities to grow your services as an agency or professional freelancer.

In conclusion, this event and the events mentioned during the panel give digital marketers in South Florida, the ecosystem to flourish both financially and professionally. I’ve listed some of the speakers I had readily available based on my notes and will update the article with others in the near future. This way you can follow those individuals if there are questions regarding: business, career or anything else pertaining to digital marketing.
